In India, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a course offered to those interested in pursuing career in teaching. The B.Ed. degree is mandatory for teaching in higher primary schools and high schools. The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor degree. After B.Ed., students can pursue Master in Education (M.Ed.) in Indian universities. National Council for Teacher Education is an statutory body which regulates courses in teaching in India.
The Course - Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course is recognized by the Northern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur, Rajasthan (India).
Eligibility - Graduation from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks. However, a relaxation of 5% is given to SC / ST candidates.
Academic Session -From July to June. (Duration of the course is two year )
How to Apply- An Student may be admitted to B.Ed. through U.P. Joint Entrance Examination. Interested candidates must appear in said examination. After the examination, candidate may choose/opt. this college in their counselling. Minority Candidates may apply directly to the college to take admission in Management quata Seats.
The department of teacher education in Gandhi Faiz-e-Aam College, Shahjahanpur was established in the year 2006 with an intake capacity of 100 seats. Fifty seats are filled through counselling and remaining 50 seats are filled by counselling Management Quota.
