Department of Political Science

The department of Political Science consists of a Chairman and two faculty members. All three members are permanent. Beside this the department also has one self- finance faculty. All the members are Ph.D. and maintain the high standard of teaching skill at under Graduate and Post Graduate level. Its office is well maintained. The department has its separate departmental library and a seminar room. 

The Department of Political Science exists since foundation of the College. The department have well furnished infrastructure with update window-10 Computer and Wi-Fi facilities provided by this college. It is multiplying its status everyday through conducting various competitive examinations and co-curricular activities. That is the reason that the political science becomes the first choice of most of the students. The department organized following programmes:

1. ‘Two days National Seminar with the Collaboration of Indian Council for Historical Research, New Delhi. On the Topic: ‘Reshmi Rumal Tahreek Aur Shaikhul Hind Maulana Mahmood Hasan’ on 15-16 Dec 2014.
2. A National Seminar with the Collaboration of University Grant Commission ‘Promotion of Ethics and Human Values’ was organized on 1^st February, 2016.
3. A written Competition: on ‘Samvidhan-Gyan-Pratiyogita-2017’ was organized by the department on 12^th December, 2017.
4. A debate competition was also organized on the topic: ‘Is Democracy Successful in India’ by the department on 13^th December, 2017.  
5. A written Competition on ‘Indian Freedom Movement’ was organized by the department on 3^rd November, 2018.
6. A written Competition on ‘Gandhiji and His Life’ was organized by the department on 1^st October, 2019.
7. A Guest Lecture was organized on ‘Indian Federation’ (with special reference to position of J&K’. on 19-11-2018 by Professor H.K. Sharma Allahabad University. 
8. A Guest Lecture was organized on ‘Relevance of Sir Syed in Contemporary world’, The lecture was delivered by Professor Shaify Kidwai of Aligarh Muslim University on 4^th February, 2020

In all these activities, the students were given the medals, trophies with certificates and consolation prizes. 

Achievement: In Academic Session 2019-20, the student of the political science Nanhe S/O Balak Ram qualified N.E.T. (National Eligibility Test).
