History is the basis of building future.It is applicable to individuals,communities, nations and the world. No achievement in any field can be attained without the knowledge of the past. H.H. Carr. remarks that History is the continuous process of intereaction between the historian and his facts and unending dialogue between past and present. The Department of History has been successfully trying to inculcate the spirit of training gloriously and bright future among the student.

Department Report

The Department of History is instrumental in suggestions, councelling and guidance about career of the students in campus and out of campus.

The Department organised a symposium on Aligarh Movement on 17th October,2017.

The Department organised a National Seminar on 'Urdu mein Tareekh Nigari' sponsored by NCPUL( Ministry of HRD), New Delhi on February 21-22,2018.

A lecture on 'History: It's origin, definition and scope' delivered by Dr. M. Ifzalur Rehman Khan on October 25, 2018.

The Department organised a symposium 'Swadhinta Sangharsh ki Krantikari Virasat' on the occasion of Bhagat Singh Jayanti on September 28, 2019.

The Department organised a guest lecture on ' Relevance of Sir Sayyed in Contemporary World'. The lecture was delivered by Professor Safai Kidwai, Department of Communication and Journalism, AMU, Aligarh on 4th February, 2020.

The Department participated in Food Fair in Galaxy Annual programme on 23rd January 2020 and won 2nd prize.

Every year the Department organises a college level multiple choice questions based quiz competition.
